Hi, I’m Mia, the face behind VIPaws of Poynton!
From the moment I was born, animals have been a part of my everyday life. Growing up in Northern Ireland, there was never a time when our family home didn’t have pets—dogs and cats were always by my side. Whether it was long days spent on the beach with the dogs or, in my teenage years, teaching one of them to roll over and jump through hoops, animals have always been my greatest passion.
When I turned 18, I made the move to Poynton, and it’s here that I’ve built a life surrounded by what I love most—pets! My own four-legged best friend, Willow, is a friendly, social labradoodle who is always ready to say hello to anyone (or anything!) with a heartbeat.
I take the safety and wellbeing of every animal seriously. I’m fully qualified with BCCS, associated with the DWSA, trained in Dog First Aid, DBS checked, and fully insured. I’ve also gained hands-on experience working at a local boarding kennel, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—giving me the confidence and skills to handle every pup as the unique individual they are.
Outside of dog walks and cuddles, you’ll probably find me running, playing rugby, or taking on a muddy obstacle course—so keeping up with energetic pups is no problem at all!
VIPaws of Poynton was created because I know just how much pets mean to us—they’re family. My goal is to make sure every pet I look after feels happy, safe, and loved, just like they would at home.
